School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

The school has over 2,100 students, 54 full-time or part-time teachers, and 7 majors. It owns a provincial teaching team in Mining Electromechanical Major. It has built up 5 provincial-level excellent courses in Coal Mine Machinery Use and Maintenance and Troubleshooting, Mine Transportation and Escalation Equipment, Hydraulic and Pneumatic Transmission, Basis of Circuit Analysis, and Operation and Maintenance of Mining Machinery. It runs three training centers comprising 27 experimental training rooms. The school has established a solid off-campus training base with a number of factories and mining enterprises. The graduates get more than one qualifications. It has won more than 20 provincial and above awards, completed 2 provincial education reform projects, 4 scientific research projects, and applied for more than 10 utility model patents. The employment rate has remained above 98% in the past three years.
