The school has over1,000 students, 68 full-time or part-time teachers, and 6 majors. It runs one training center for geological surveying, one geological training ground and one training center for gem and jade, containing 39 training rooms. The school has preside over the construction of national teaching resources. It has won 2 provincial teaching achievement, 6 first prizes and 10 second prizes in national vocational college skills competition. The major, Appraisal and Processing Technology for Gem and Jade, is one of the first pilot majors for modern apprenticeship.
